Countertop Information
Granite
Extremely durable and ages well. This is naturally occurring stone with pricing that starts lower than quartz and is based on the rarity of the stone type compared to popular trends. Resistant to most chemicals and can withstand high heat.
Quartz
Highly durable and easy to clean. It is approximately 95% natural stone mixed with resins and color to make beautiful countertops that simulate all types of rare and expensive natural stones. It is almost limitless in the variety of colors and styles. Doesn't require sealing - people love the no maintenance feature. Often a more affordable countertop option as compared to the naturally occurring stone that they simulate.
Quartzite
This is a naturally occuring stone. Resistant to heat and chemicals and more resistant to acidic liquid etching than granite. It is resistant to stain, but not quite as good as granite that is properly sealed. Very low-maintenance but sealing is recommended.
